Terms of Service
Last updated 31 August 2026
These terms cover the Semantic SEO WordPress plugin, any paid licence for it, and the Search
Console connection service at auth.semanticseoanalysis.com.
What you get
The plugin is software you install on your own WordPress site. The free tier works permanently and is not a trial. A paid licence unlocks additional modules for the number of sites that licence covers.
What the plugin does to your site
It reads your database. It writes only what you approve, one change at a time, and stores the previous value before every write so it can be undone. It refuses to write at all when it detects a staging environment, unless you deliberately override that.
You are responsible for your own backups. The plugin's undo restores the values it changed; it is not a backup system and does not claim to be one.
What we do not promise
No ranking outcome is guaranteed. The plugin shows what a page currently earns and what similar positions normally earn. Neither is a forecast. Search rankings depend on Google's systems, your competitors, and factors nobody controls or fully observes.
Anybody who guarantees a ranking is telling you something they cannot know. We will not do that, and you should treat it as a warning sign wherever you meet it.
The Search Console connection
The connection service exchanges and refreshes Google tokens, and does nothing else. It is provided as part of the plugin at no additional charge. It depends on Google's APIs remaining available and on your grant remaining valid, and neither is within our control.
We may apply reasonable rate limits if usage threatens the service's stability. If we ever do, the plugin will say so on screen rather than failing silently.
Third party services
Some optional features use API keys you supply for third party services. Those calls go directly from your site to that provider, billed to your account under that provider's terms. We do not meter, mark up, or proxy them, and we set a monthly ceiling you control so a runaway job cannot spend past a line you drew.
Licences
Licences are annual and cover a stated number of sites. You can move a licence between sites by deactivating it on one and activating it on another.
If a licence expires, nothing already generated is taken away. Architecture, briefs, link plans, your ledger and your undo history remain. The free modules keep working. Only the paid modules and plugin updates pause until you renew.
If a licence check cannot reach our server, the plugin keeps working on its cached result for fourteen days and then falls back to the free tier. It never blocks an admin screen waiting for a licence call.
Refunds
If the plugin does not do what this site says it does, tell us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you. You do not need to justify it beyond that.
Acceptable use
Do not use the plugin or the connection service to access Search Console data for properties you are not authorised to access. Do not attempt to use the connection service for anything other than the plugin.
Liability
The software is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid for your licence in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost traffic, lost rankings, or lost revenue.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending it
You can stop using the plugin at any time by deleting it. Changes already applied to your pages stay, because canonicals, titles and redirects belong to your site rather than to us. If you want the previous values back, undo them from the Ledger before you uninstall.
Your architecture and findings can be exported at any time. A tool that holds your work hostage is one people resent long before they cancel.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the date above changes. Continuing to use the plugin after that means you accept the new version.
